Starter 18: Interviewing
Write an email requesting an interview and photo session. This email should include:
I am emailing you today to ask if you would allow me to interview you for a school project and take a photographic portrait of you. In my Humanities class, we are studying adolescence, and for our final project we have to interview an adult about their experiences in adolescence. Our interview write-ups will be paired with a photographic portrait of the person we interviewed.
I chose to interview you because…YOU FILL THIS IN
This assignment would require us to meet twice. The first appointment would be for the interview, and needs to happen between Tuesday, 9/24 and Sunday, 9/29. This will take between 30-60 minutes. The second appointment would be to take your portrait, and needs to happen between Tuesday, 10/1 and Sunday, 10/7. This will take around 15-30 minutes.
Please let me know if you would be willing to work with me on this assignment, and if so, what dates and times would work well for you for the interview. We could meet here at AHS during school hours (I am available FILL IN HUMANITIES HOURS HERE), or off campus after school.
I will send you details for our final exhibition of this work as soon as the location is finalized- it will be on Wednesday, 10/9 from 5:00-7:00.
Thank you so much for your help- please let me know about dates and times, and if you have any further questions.
Use the handout linked above to start developing interview themes and questions.
