Lecture: Major Treaties and Organizations
You need to take notes during this lecture using the provided note sheet. This information will be covered by a QUIZ that you will take early next week. Overview- covering 4 international agreements and 1 organization. The purpose of this is to give you the basic information you need to understand your country’s position and the articles that have been written about this topic. Nuclear Disarmament Research
Your research will have a few main components, that are laid out on the note-taking form linked above. I will be checking for completion in chunks, and holding conferences along the way. I expect this process to take through the end of next week. And I’m expecting you to be more efficient with your time! For the rest of class today, you should work on creating study notes for the quiz that is based on today’s starter, lecture, and the Issue Briefs. HOMEWORK- Finish reading the issue briefs, have 10 most important facts you learned listed on the back of your issue briefs at the start of class tomorrow. This is your first grade of semester 2, so make sure you have it done!
Starter 2 We are going to focus on nuclear disarmament for our conference (so, everything in option C except nuclear security). This means that we will be focusing on how to reduce amounts of existing weapons, and how to stop the continuing spread of nuclear weapons.
