Starter 3: Repetition Poem
Poetry Notes: Part 2
Student Examples Linked below are a BUNCH of examples of past student project that were successful. Take 15 -20 minutes and look at as many as you can! Read the poems with the artwork, take it in! Once you’ve seen a bunch, look at TWO of them from different categories, and answer the following questions about them in writing. Hang on to these- we will review and I will check them on Monday.

Practice Poem!
Lori’s Example (I write this during my faculty meeting, so no excuses!) Kai’s half-size fingers, chubby, small, with fingernails too long because he will not sit still long enough to clip them. He works them busily, digging them like burrowing animals into his cheerios, reveling in the textures as he grins up at me. The arctic ocean is a heart, beating ceaselessly with treasures locked deep in the ice. I look at my treasure and say, “Kai, what are you doing with your breakfast?” Eyes shining like a hole in the ice lit by moonlight, fingers wriggling, he pipes, “Mama...BABY SHARK! Chee-wee-os.” HOMEWORK-
