Big Picture Overview
Welcome back from break! Before we start, I want to give you a quick overview of where we're headed, and how all this fits together:
Before winter break, we will finish with Research Parts 1 and 2, and hopefully find a day or two to begin project brainstorming. Then, when you return in January, we will launch into writing and project development, with the idea that we will exhibit towards the end of January. Genocide Research: Part 1 Review the general guidelines for this- read over the handout together (hard copies are on the front table). Don't worry for now about how to show their knowledge- I will be back tomorrow and will review the different options and show you examples. For today, you should worry about finding sources, reading or watching them, and starting to get a sense of what their genocide was about. There are some books on the front table you can use- different genocides are clearly marked in them with sticky notes. Student Goals for Today:

Genocide Choices Take 15-20 minutes and do a little preliminary research on one of the genocides listed below. Be ready to sign up for your preferred choice first thing tomorrow. We can have overlap, but I would like for us to have at least 6-8 of these represented in our genocide museum.
