Docket Coaching
Alliance Activity For each of the resolutions on the docket, line up. Take note of who is where!

Speech Writing (aiming for speeches of 2 minutes)
HOMEWORK- None, unless you still haven't turned in a resolution. Resolution Writing:
Resolution Self and Peer Edit Complete this only after your resolution is completely written! You should do this before resolutions are due at the end of class on Wednesday, and should turn them in to me for a grade in the GROWTH category of the gradebook (assignments in this category are worth 40% of your grade). Time Frame: You will have today, Tuesday, and Wednesday to write your resolutions. Resolutions are due to me Wednesday at the end of class. Everyone must have them done by then so your chairs can choose the docket for our conference before class on Thursday. HOMEWORK: NONE, unless your resolution is still not turned in. Resolution Formatting and Phrases Preambular Clauses = Tells what has gone before, and why the resolution was written. Causes: List your evidence. Reasoning: explain why your evidence is important, what it shows
Operative Clauses = explain what should be done about it (who, when, where)
