POL Schedule
Make sure you know when you are paneling and presenting (scroll down for the schedule). Take a moment to text or email your parents/guardians with your dates and times! Speed Dating Let's practice your introduction, content area questions, and conclusions! Talk through them- if you talk your way into something brilliant, jot down some notes. Example POL Let's watch the brave Chris give his POL and be judged! After he's done, freewrite: Based on what you saw and heard here, how much work do you have to do to be ready for your POL next week: 1 = just a little, I'm almost there, 2 = a decent amount, 3 = oh wow, I have a ton of work to do. Then, what are the three most important things you need to do and think about as you're preparing? No Ums/Likes Let's play a little game called no ums/likes. POL Preparation
HOMEWORK Be ready to practice your FULL POL on Monday when you walk into class. This means that you have your notecards ready to go, your evidence gathered and organized (either in hard copies or digitally), and that you have practiced at home at least once.
